Back by popular demand! Last year's Father-Daughter Canoe Trip was one of the highlights of our Fall Campout, and we're excited to bring it back for another unforgettable adventure.
Spend a relaxing afternoon paddling down the scenic Rock River with your daughter, surrounded by beautiful forests, towering rock bluffs, and peaceful wildlife. Along the way, we'll stop at sandy river islands to stretch our legs, skip rocks, splash in the water, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Whether you're an experienced paddler or stepping into a canoe for the first time, this gentle float is designed to be fun, easy, and enjoyable for all ages. It's the perfect opportunity to unplug from everyday life, enjoy meaningful one-on-one time with your daughter, and experience the outdoors together.
Departure: Approximately 1:00 PM (immediately following lunch)

Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Distance: 4–5 mile scenic float with the current
Highlights: Beautiful river scenery, sandbar islands, wildlife, and plenty of opportunities for photos and family memories
Cost: $85 per canoe
Paddle with your own family or share a canoe with another Explorer Princess family.
No need to worry about logistics! We'll meet at the take-out location, where White Pelican will shuttle everyone to the launch site. Simply enjoy the ride, launch your canoe, and let the current carry you through one of northern Illinois' most beautiful stretches of river.
