🌲 Explorer Princesses Fall Campout 2025

📅 Dates: Friday, September 19 – Sunday, September 21
⏰ Arrival: Anytime after 3:00 PM on Friday
đź’° Cost:$80 per family
This year, we’re keeping things more relaxed—focusing on unstructured fun and time for the kids to just be kids. The creek is shallow, the woods are wide open, and there’s plenty of adventure waiting.
Set up camp
Roast S’mores
Play some classic games like Ghost in the Graveyard
We’re making group reservations at White Pines Lodge for dinner Friday night.
Great food, air-conditioned, and located right inside the park.
Let Chief Paco know if you’d like to join the dinner group.
We’re excited to offer an optional Father-Daughter Canoe Trip down the Rock River:
Departure: ~1:00 PM (right after lunch)
Hosted by: White Pelican Inc.
Trip length: ~2 hours (4–5 miles) with the current
Scenic route with sandbar islands for quick stops and fun
Cost: $80 per canoe
You can paddle with your own family or share / split cost of the canoe with another.
Transportation: We’ll drive our cars to the end point, and White Pelican will bus us to the launch site.
After the canoe trip, we’ll grill dinner together at the campsite. The girls can explore the creek, hike trails, or join in a few optional games if they’re not completely worn out.
We’ll also introduce our newly revamped Mechula game — now called Legend of True North!
A group meal sign-up sheet will be shared via Google Docs in the coming weeks. Everyone will be asked to contribute something. If you’re planning to attend, please sign up early so we can plan for food and supplies accordingly.
Again — this event is FREE for new families!
If you’re inviting someone, please send me their names (dad + kids) and contact info so we can track the headcount and make sure we have enough food and gear for everyone.
A detailed agenda will be sent out via email within the next two weeks.
